My brain started working and getting excited. After I read the blog post, realizing how easy this was, I said to myself "Erica, you would be an utter fool to not try something so cheap and original as crayon art"
Fast forward to today, where I had time to myself. I wandered around Jo-anns for a while. I swear I could spend hours in there if I dont keep track of time. After wandering around a while I came to the canvas aisle and my light bulb clicked! CRAYON ART! REMEMBER? DO IT!
Canvas was more expensive than I wanted to pay at Jo-anns, so I purchased my fabric and headed off to walmart. After wandering for a while I found 2 11x14 for 7 dollars. Score! Ran over got some crayons and left.
I studied the image for a while when I came home. I also watched a youtube video to see how others did it. I know the variation of the wax flow depended on your blow dryer and such. And away I went.Id have to say taking pictures of this project was just as much fun as doing it. I LOVE COLOR.
The greatest thing about this project is that ANYONE can do it (obviously little ones with supervision)
But who wouldn't love melting crayons and making art?
