My journey to try a new recipe. I found while i was on stumble upon, this recipe for Whoopie pies, which consisted of pumpkin flavor. I got super excited (i love pumpkin) so I wanted to try it out.
As I started, the counter quickly became a mess with all of the items needed to create this amazing dessert.
With recipe down on paper, I went at it.
The pie cakes came out great.
They were not as circular as I wanted, but I wasnt going for perfection, I was going to get it right.
With the filling, I had some problems getting it to the consistency perfect, but after a while I finally got it right.
Out of the oven
So after I started putting them together, I noticed that because they were so warm, they were melting the sugar filling in the middle.
So i decided to put the center in the fridge, and after the second batch of pies came out of the oven, I put them in the fridge as well.
When I woke up this morning, I went out and started assembling them again, and they came out great!
This isn't my picture, but this is pretty much what they look like except for the mishapen look of the pies. :)
Overall it was a fun new recipe to try and delicious for anyone who likes pumpkin anything. :)
